In this episode, Jochen Lagemann, managing director Europe and president of PrimaLoft Licensing, chats about the agility of the company, sustainability and how he’s getting to know his own neighbourhood much better now.
Lagemann has been at PrimaLoft now for many years. He started the position of managing director Europe back in 2013 and since the start of 2020, he is now the president for PrimaLoft Licensing.
In this podcast, he talks about how the company is adjusting to the ongoing pandemic. He explains that like many other organisations, PrimaLoft has adopted more technology to stay connected, and how from now on virtual conferences may become more commonplace. Additionally, he says that thanks to PrimaLoft’s global supply chain, the company has managed to shift operations depending on the regions worse affected.
Elsewhere, Lagemann says that he is a ‘notorious optimist’ and so the company is using this time to stress test its operations to see where action plans may be needed in future. He also explains that even if everything gets back to normal soon, the company is planning for the impact to last 12-24 months.
Later on, he talks about sustainability and the company’s ‘Relentlessly Responsible’ approach. He also says that he is getting to know his hometown much better these days and that he’s looking forward to exploring more locally with his campervan in the future.
