Digital colour management specialist VeriVide has launched two new LED technologies, UltraView and VisionView.

UltraView is a tuneable LED technology that the company says “marks the dawn of a new era” in visual colour assessment.

VeriVide’s lighting sales manager, Adam Dakin, said: “The LED light booth provides a greater level of control and repeatability across your global supply chain. It opens the door to superior performance, accuracy and repeatability between systems.

“UltraView’s multi-channel LED technology and our unique calibration software allow for point-of-sale light sources to be kept up-to-date with evolving specifications.”

Brands and retailers traditionally purchased several light boxes to cover various needs. With UltraView, VeriVide aims to streamline the colour management process by enabling suppliers to preprogramme principal point-of-sale light sources in one machine.

Dakin added: “Each system is calibrated to precise chromaticity tolerances that greatly exceed CIE test methods, meaning there is no perceivable difference between systems anywhere in the supply chain.”

There are also environmental benefits to the technology. In addition to reducing the need for multiple light boxes in one setting, there is no need to regularly replace lamps and its components are designed to be easily and widely recycled at end of life.

Meanwhile, VisionView combines visual and digital colour workflows in a single LED light booth.

“The technology offers immediate improvements in cost and efficiency by including the latest generation Ezio monitor in the tunable UltraView light booth,” said Dakin. “It is a versatile tool that also combines UltraView with a DigiEye viewing station.”

Physical samples can be assessed visually in controlled LED viewing conditions and compared with a digital standard image from a DigiEye imaging system.

“Colour data can also be communicated around the world for better supply chain integration,” Dakin added. “VisionView combines proven VeriVide technology to save space, time and money.”

The technology offers opportunities to free up workspace or to carry out more assessment tasks in the same space.

These technologies have already attracted interest from leading brands such as M&S, NEXT, H&M, and Tesco and continue to grow in popularity following legislation against alternative fluorescent solutions, the company said.

VeriVide is exhibiting in Hall 4, Booth D302.
